We have had the time of our lives on this trip and so much enjoyed sharing this together. What we have seen, experienced and felt over the last few weeks has given us not only precious memories, but an education and a slightly different perspective of the US than we previously held.

It has been good to share our photos and thoughts, as well as providing ourselves with a record of the trip - which we really needed having done so much.

The USA is great in lots of ways (we wouldn't want to live here though), its variety of landscapes, experiences on offer and amazing cities - there is no wonder that many Americans do not travel outside their country. this, of course, makes for an inward-looking society which is not ideal.

The key good things:

  1. Friendliness and interest in you
  2. Cleanliness and care of the streets, highways and countryside
  3. Respect for serving military, veterans and first responders who are given priority (e.g. on boarding aircraft) and discounts. Sometime asked to make themselves known and applauded.
